About this tour

Spend a memorable half-day with elephants on Koh Samui through a combination of feeding, walking, mud spa and bathing activities in a natural setting.

After arriving at the elephant camp, meet the guide and mahout and learn about the elephants before helping prepare their food. Feed and interact with the elephants, then walk alongside them through the surrounding jungle and observe them in a more natural environment.

Continue with the elephant mud spa and bathing activities, where you can get muddy and help wash the elephants. Afterward, freshen up and change into dry clothes before joining a Thai cooking activity and enjoying a meal with seasonal fruit.

Standard pickup areas are Lamai, Maenam, Chaweng, Chaweng Noi, Choeng Mon, Plai Laem, Bophut, Bangrak, and Fisherman’s Village.
Your exact hotel pickup time will be confirmed through the contact details provided in your booking once we receive your accommodation information.
Please be ready in the hotel lobby at least 10 minutes before pickup. Shared transfers cannot wait for late guests.
Hotels in remote areas or locations with difficult vehicle access, including steep or hillside areas, may require a nearby meeting point.

Do I ride the elephants during this experience?

No. There is no elephant riding in this program. The experience focuses on feeding, walking alongside the elephants, the mud spa and bathing activities.

Do I have to join the mud spa and elephant bathing?

No. The mud spa and elephant bathing are optional. If you prefer not to join these activities, you can skip them.

What do we cook during the Thai cooking activity?

You will learn how to prepare noodle soup as part of the cooking activity before enjoying your meal.

How is this different from the Elephant Feed & Shower Experience?

The Samui Elephant Spa Experience is a longer program of about 3 hours and includes a jungle walk, mud spa, elephant bathing, a noodle soup cooking activity and a meal. The Elephant Feed & Shower Experience is shorter, at about 1.5 hours, and focuses mainly on feeding and showering with the elephants.

Is this a half-day elephant experience or a full-day island safari?

This is a half-day elephant experience of approximately 3 hours. It focuses on activities at the elephant camp and does not include the island sightseeing and 4x4 safari program of our full-day safari tour.
