  4. Pig Island (Koh Madsum)

Pickup information

The selected time is the tour departure time, not the hotel pickup time. If your selected package includes hotel transfer, your exact pickup time will be confirmed through the contact details provided in your booking once we receive your accommodation information.
Please be ready in the hotel lobby at least 10 minutes before your confirmed pickup time if your package includes hotel transfer.
If your selected package includes hotel transfer, the standard pickup areas are Lamai, Maenam, Chaweng, Chaweng Noi, Choeng Mon, Plai Laem, Bophut, Bangrak, and Fisherman’s Village.
Boat-only guests will receive the confirmed pier or meeting point details after booking.
If your selected package includes hotel transfer, hotels located on steep hills or roads that cannot be accessed by standard transfer vehicles may require a nearby meeting point.
If your selected package includes hotel transfer, hotels outside the standard pickup area may have an additional transfer charge or pickup may not be available.

How long is the boat ride to Pig Island?

The boat ride from Thong Krut Pier to Pig Island takes approximately 30 minutes. On the way, you can also stop for snorkeling around Koh Tan if you would like to snorkel.

How many people can travel on one private longtail boat?

One private longtail boat can accommodate up to 10 travelers. Pricing is divided into groups of 1–4, 5–7, and 8–10 people.

Can we choose the departure time and customize the itinerary?

Yes. As this is a private trip, you can choose from the available departure times shown when booking. You can also choose whether to visit Pig Island first or snorkel at Koh Tan first, and decide how much time you would like to spend at each stop. The entire trip must remain within the 4-hour charter period, including the boat journey from and back to the pier. Please plan the order carefully, as the boat cannot go back and forth between the islands once you have moved on to the next stop.

Where does the boat depart from?

The private longtail boat departs from Thong Krut Pier in the south of Koh Samui. If you book the Boat Only option, you will travel to the pier independently. If your package includes hotel transfer, we will arrange your pickup separately.

What is the best departure time to avoid crowds or see the sunset?

If you prefer a quieter experience and would like to avoid the busier period, we recommend choosing an earlier morning departure. If you would like to enjoy the sunset, choose an afternoon departure.
